Intro to Industry
Offered in partnership with various schools and colleges, the Alumni Association's Intro to Industry series consists of networking events that connect alumni and current students to specific industries and career fields.
Students and recent graduates have the opportunity to strengthen networking skills, increase their network of contacts and explore career opportunities as they connect with alumni professionals and experts in different industries. Alumni presenters share their insight and expertise working in fields from STEM to the arts, discussing trends, best practices and important issues.

Speaker: Najwa Abouhassan, Senior Engineer, DTE Energy
Attendees learned from a success engineer on how the utilization of soft skills helps individuals excel in the STEM industry. Abouhassan, a graduate of Wayne State's engineering program, has worked as a senior engineer at DTE Energy since she graduated.

Members of the Alumni Council from the College of Fine, Performing & Communication Arts discussed ways to navigate the first three years in the workforce, how to communicate and create a personal brand, and career opportunities in art administration and art entrepreneurship.
