Giving Day was Warrior Strong
With your help, Wayne State's third annual Giving Day on April 11 was a major success. Ultimately, every corner of campus will be affected by the WSU community joining together to Give Green, Be Gold.
Nearly 1,000 people contributed more than $620,000 to support university priorities - a significant increase in dollars raised over last year's Giving Day.
WSU schools and colleges supported the cause through social media campaigns and with special gift match challenges. The wide variety of impact areas included student success programs, research projects and community engagement endeavors.
The School of Medicine raised the most at $67,520, with the College of Fine, Performing and Communication Arts just a few dollars behind at $67,507. The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences led the way in participation with 181 donors, 49 of whom were inspired to give for the first time on April 11.
Thank you for your support during this 24-hour celebration of school spirit.
