The Wayne Society

Established in 1971, The Wayne Society recognizes the commitment of Wayne State University's leading donors. They are the alumni, family and friends whose support plays a vital role in transforming the lives of countless students, faculty, researchers and many more within the Wayne State community both here in Detroit and around the world. Their support guides and inspires as the university continues to make advances in our rapidly changing world.

Donor Impact

The support of The Wayne Society members has an immediate and significant impact. Whether establishing an endowed scholarship or funding the creation of new programs, the commitment of our members:

  • Helps Wayne State remain at the forefront of innovation, research and discoveries.
  • Encourages students to achieve academic success and helps drive academic advancement for the university.
  • Ensures the university lives up to its promise of preparing a diverse student body to thrive, and positively impact local and global communities.

Recognition

As a show of appreciation, members are offered a number of exclusive engagement opportunities throughout the year designed to strengthen their relationship with the university and exhibit the impact of their giving.
