Jason Bank, J.D. '97

Jason Bank, J.D. '97, a member of Detroit-based law firm Kerr Russell, will serve as the firm's representative on the executive cabinet for the Southeast Michigan American Heart Association Metro Detroit Heart Walk. The Heart Walk, now in its 25th year, will take place on May 12, 2018 on Wayne State University's main campus.

The Heart Walk's executive cabinet is chaired by Wayne State President M. Roy Wilson and Wright Lassiter III, president and CEO of Henry Ford Health System. The work of the cabinet will be to raise friends, funds, and awareness and to bolster the health and welfare of everyone in and around southeast Michigan. Proceeds from the event go directly to the AHA for cardiovascular research and heart health educational programs locally and nationally.

Bank has 20 years of experience in bankruptcy and restructuring and general corporate law. He is chair of the firm's Bankruptcy and Resturcturing department and has served as an adjunct professor of law at the Michigan State University College of Law.

Bank has been recognized as a "Michigan Super Lawyer" by Thomson Reuters and was named one of the Top 100 Attorneys in Michigan by this publication for 2015-17. He was named a "Top Lawyer" by dBusiness Magazine in the area of Bankruptcy and Creditor/Debtor Rights.
