Alumni Association E-Communications Place First at CASE V

The Wayne State University Alumni Association’s e-communications will be recognized in December with a first-place award from the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education District V.
The Teresa du Bois Exline Award for Best Practices in Communications and Marketing honors the alumni association’s overhaul of its Web site and e-newsletters and the launch of the new WorldWideWayne online community.
Specifically, the award recognizes the alumni association’s ambitious undertaking to redesign its electronic communications, which resulted in streamlining costs and developing processes to reduce burden on staff members. The process was completed early this year and included the implementation of a user-friendly content-management system.
In addition, alumni association editor Michelle Franzen Martin will be a presenter at the conference, held in Chicago, to discuss the steps the alumni association took to revamp its e-communications.
