The alumni association recently created an advocacy program that encourages alumni and friends of the university to communicate the vital importance of Wayne State to elected officials in Lansing.

The program was developed as a direct result of the decline in state support that the university has received since 2002. Through this program, the alumni association has created a means to mobilize a constituency that will create a groundswell of support for, or opposition to, a particular issue.
