Scholarships
The Faculty Service Award is presented to WSU faculty whose professional or civic efforts have brought about a greater appreciation of the university's contribution to the community. The university has many awards for scholarly achievement and teaching excellence, but only the alumni association recognizes the important community service that Wayne State faculty provide.
To nominate, send a letter outlining the faculty member's service to the community and its impact.
Nominations received by February 20, 2012 will be considered for 2012 awards. Nominations received later will be considered for next year.
The award carries an honorarium of $500 and will be presented at the Academic Recognition Ceremoy on April 26, 2012.
